Yesterday was a crazy rush for time.
Adrenalin shot up to an all time high for a short 5 min.
Why?!
Xiaomei aka Angel, our only manicurist for now was off yesterday. She needed a break to de-stress a little. It was this day that Murphy's law came back with a vengeance.
After lunch, there were calls for apoointments on Saturday and a customer who brought her family to try our services. This kind, sweet lady was nice and she called in advance like a 2 hrs ago to inform us, she could have just walked in with her family like that but she didn't, she bothered to make that call and asked if Xiaomei was there. We were so grateful that she gave us ample time to prep since Xiaomei was on leave.
Without further ado, I whipped out my LCD dead Nokia 6300 phone and started to try to call Xiaomei when I could not even see the number or name from my contacts. Imagine the adrenalin pumping frustration. After like 6 wrong calls, I thank God for his blessings, I manage to get her and told her to hail a cab and rush to the shop. Of course, we reimbursed her immediately for the cab fare. We do not ill treat our employees.
We were all happy after the kind lady left since she made another appointment with us again on sat. I presumed we have met her standards of service and the type of products she would like. I must make sure we keep improving ourselves and at least maintain at this level.
I guess the happiest person is Xiaomei. She felt appreciated and did not mind rushing down just to chat with her customer even for less than half an hour when she was doing her foot fish spa. I think we have to devise a better plan of human resources in case of this kind of adrenalin pumping situations happen again. It's bad for my poor heart and tired brain.

Feedbacks... I absolutely love them !
My good pal's sister dropped by for pedicure, foot fish spa and paraffin wax treatment yesterday evening despite the heavy rain.
She was quite pleased with the chocolate paraffin. In fact her feet were smoother due to moisture and extract of coco. OF COURSE, it smell chocolatey. In fact, all of us had such a urge to eat chocolate when the paraffin was melting in the prep room, surprisingly, the fragrance was so strong we could smell it amidst the burning aromatherapy and the distance. You have to try it, I'm not joking and it's set at the normal prices for paraffin wax treatment since we get it at a good price from the supplier.
I was quite happy as well since she gave us some tips on 'personal touches' to keep the customer coming back needless to ask from the point of a customer. These are the small details of why I would love my friends to come try our services, of course i'll give some discount since they came all the way just to 'give me some support' and feedback as well.

The fishes are doing well after almost 3 days 2 nights of swollen eye bags and dark eye circle around my eyes. They are acclimatising well and doing pretty well. I'm glad. Now i must find something to 'erase' those dark eye circles away..

Settling down
At last they are settling down. The cute little fishes I mean.
All seems fine and they are not committing suicide in groups of 20s and 30s. All things seem to be going alright now. At least the mortality rate is low due to the after effect of "black" thursday.
Bought some tea concoction from the herbal shop nearby for the customers to drink. It's supposed to be good for skin and helps lighten the freckles or at least that's what the sales person say.
Quite happy about how things are proceeding slowly in the shop. There are advance bookings for our services from friends and friends' friends. I hope they will like our services. *crossing my fingers* Just found out yesterday that there is another place in Thomson area that is offering the fish spa too but the prices are expensive and it's located a little out of the way. In addition, the fishes they use are different from ours, how different I will not specify and bear the name of tarnishing their reputation. But then again, all that is said here is just my opinion. So there is no way that you can say I am being mean or stupid since it is all my perspective.

Terrible Thursday
This morning was the worst day of the opening.
Everything was bad. How bad? I can't describe the emotions surging through my brain now.
A difference in opinion, experience and judgement murdered half the tank of fishes. It was a sad and shocking moment to open the lid of the tank and see floating tiny bodies. It was a catastrophe, the kind of pain and empathy is like flash flood, drowning all your happy thoughts that was there a second ago. Since blaming everyone or wallowing in self pity is not an option to salvage this "epidemic", it was time to do some calls to our favourite fish GP to save the rest of the population.
~
After almost half a day of monitoring them, the fishes seemed to survive alright. Better cross our fingers and toes to prevent this from happening again since we admit and have learnt from our mistakes.

Everything is starting to fall into place
Last night was a busy night.
We went shopping for some of the additions to the shop after suggestions from a very good friend. Right now, the deco and functionality of the items in the shop are almost complete with perhaps some small details that we might have missed. We'll have to go through the whole shop again making sure that we have everything that is needed to keep our customers happy and wanting to come back for our services again. On top of that, it was the fine tuning of the website and altering it to make it look less amateurish, ironically.
~
Late into the night, another good friend of ours popped by and tried out the fish spa. He had throughly enjoyed the 15mins experience which is feeling ticklish in the 1st min and tingly after and lastly, not wanting to pull your almost wrinkling feet out of the water. We're happy that he was laughing and giggling all the way. It's seeing people around you, no matter what relationship they have with you, being happy that makes you happy. Of course, you will feel it even more when they are closer to you.Another brand new day starts, let's cross our fingers and toes that something wonderful and cheerie happens...

Welcome
Good morning,
Today is the third day of opening. There has been quite a nice response from all friends and family during the first two days. I sincerely thank all of them for their everlasting love and support. *flying hugs to all of them*
The only downside of this day is that it has been raining cats and dogs for the whole morning, murdering the moods of most people I think. *boring..yawn*
But guess what?! We've got 2 customers that drop by even before we open to let us cater to their curiosity, need for relaxation and pampering. *jumping up and down.... yea!!!!* I'm very hyped now and hope they will enjoy their experience with us.

Latest I heard like about 5 minutes ago, they absolutely dig the fish spa and commented that our manicurist did a great job and was super efficient. hahahahaha... so happy and having a super good mood day despite the rain and tonnes to do.
Good job "xiao mei" !!! hugs...
